Family Law

FAMILY LAW

Family law is one of the most complex practice areas, dealing with emotionally-charged issues that impact clients’ lives in significant ways. At Natalie Wallace Bennett P.C., we understand how serious family law cases can be for everyone involved. We act as your advocate, representing your interests and protecting your rights every step of the way. Natalie continually furthers her education and expertise to provide the best legal services to her clients and is Board Certified in Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Divorce/Custody

Divorce brings an end to your legal relationship with your spouse, but there are many issues to settle before the divorce can be finalized. We will help you settle all of these issues, including division of property, division of debt, child support, and more.

If your divorce involves children, our goal is to preserve a healthy parent-child relationship. We will work hard to ensure your divorce results in a fair child custody and visitation agreement.

Adoptions

Our firm can help you add a child to your family through adoption, whether you are adopting privately or through CPS. We can also assist with stepparent and relative adoptions. Our goal is to make this process as smooth and rewarding for your family as possible.

Child Support - Attorney General and Modifications

The State of Texas requires both parents to provide financial support for their children. Support is calculated based on the income of the parents, the custody agreement, the number of children involved, and other factors. Whether you are paying or receiving child support, we will help you make sure the agreement is fair and equitable. We can also help you petition the court for modifications when circumstances change.

CPS (Child Protective Services)

CPS cases can be overwhelming and frightening for families. We help you work toward solutions designed to keep your family together. Natalie is a former CPS prosecutor. She has represented children, parents, grandparents, relatives, foster parents, and the State of Texas. Natalie can be a voice for children, can help parents to not have their rights trampled, and can file an intervention or adoption for a relative or foster parent.

Guardianships

Guardianships are sometimes necessary to protect minors and vulnerable adults. If you want to pursue a guardianship in Texas, our firm can help you complete the process successfully.
